New satellite promises unprecedented data on clouds and aerosols
A new satellite called Earth Cloud, Aerosol and Radiation Explorer (EarthCARE), to be launched later this month, will provide unprecedented data on clouds and aerosols that will help ECMWF to initialise its weather forecasts.
