The 10th Eumetcal International Workshop was held 15-18 June 2015 in Reading, UK, jointly organised with ECMWF.
The focus of the workshop was to explore current and future training solutions to respond to changes in: the role of forecasters, the type of services offered by hydro-meteorological services and the improving accuracy of hydrological and weather models from advances in weather-related technologies and numerical weather prediction. The workshop explored how the training community needs to adapt and develop innovative training ideas to support skills and competency requirements.
The workshop was open to contributions from the training and academic communities, with particular focus on professional development of operational staff in NHMSs.
