In preparing a book entitled “Medium-Range Weather Prediction - the European Approach”, which records the foundation and establishment of ECMWF and reviews its work during its first three decades, many archived documents were consulted. Copies of several of these documents are now available on the Web including some photographs, and audio recordings from the first Council session.
